AAAA Professional Development and Training Institute

About the AAAA Institute

The American Association for Affirmative Action’s (AAAA) Professional Development and Training Institute (PDTI), established in 1991, offers an excellent program of education and training for today’s equal employment opportunity (EEO), affirmative action (AA), human resources and diversity professionals and lawyers working in higher education, government or the private sector. PDTI’s education and training offerings include three major components: classroom training, webinars and onsite training.

CLASSROOM TRAINING

The acclaimed 52-hour classroom training program leads to the Certified Affirmative Action Professional (CAAP) Level I. PDTI also offers the 40 hour program leading to the certificate in Workplace Mediation. The PDTI classroom experience takes place three times per year in locations geographically dispersed throughout the United States.

The three-part, 52-hour course for the certification in EEO/AA, the advance level courses and the 40-hour course leading to certification in Workplace Mediation are designed with new as well as seasoned practitioners in mind. These programs prepare individuals to:

  • Demonstrate competence to employers and colleagues alike
  • Improve salary and promotional opportunities
  • Enhance technical and administrative skills in the following areas:
    • AA/EEO
    • Diversity
    • Legal Affairs

AAAA Webinars

In 2008, the association added AAAA Webinars, web-based seminars to provide expert information on current legal, policy and regulatory matters. The one- to two hour webinars are offered every two months and are available to AAAA members and non-members. Recent webinars have addressed such issues as ADA Compliance, the New Racial and Ethnic Categories, Adverse Impact Analysis, the Family and Medical Leave Act and Faculty Recruitment. AAAA Webinars are an excellent, cost-effective and time-saving addition to the tools a professional can use to hone his or her skills in the field of EEO, affirmative action and diversity.

ONSITE TRAINING

AAAA ONSITE TRAINING, in which a training program is specially designed to fit the needs of the individual institution, is an excellent option for institutions or companies that have specific needs or a group of employees that need targeted training. Onsite training is also cost effective and saves travel costs and staff time away from the office. AAAA's expert faculty works with the client to develop the curriculum and deliver the training at the client's designated location.

For more information about AAAA ONSITE TRAINING, please complete and submit the Pre-Training Questionnaire to the AAAA National Office. Do you have additional questions? Email or telephone the AAAA office at the numbers below.
