  • Network with EEO/AA professionals for information, advice, and support. Utilize our membership directory and on-line listserv and expand your circle of friends and contacts at AAAA meetings.
  • Meet federal, state, and local officials involved in ensuring equal opportunity compliance in employment and education.
  • Participate in national and regional conferences that bring together nationally acclaimed experts in EEO/AA practices, human resources, legal issues, and professional development. These programs provide a foundation in the basics for new EEO/AA staff or management and continuing education for seasoned professionals.
  • Become involved locally in your region. Our 10 regions hold meetings and seminars that provide many opportunities for professional development, continuing education, and networking.
  • Be entitled to one vote at business meetings, elections, and on other matters requiring membership vote.
  • Receive member rates for conferences, seminars, training institutes, and other events.
  • Train, learn, and become certified in EEO/AA program management. Our training institutes offer EEO and Affirmative Action Law, Complaint Processing, Counseling and Resolution, Affirmative Action Plan Development, Workplace Mediation Methods, Analyzing the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Harassment/Sexual Harassment, Affirmative Action and Emerging Concepts in Diversity, and Negotiation Principles. The institutes are held four times throughout the year.
  • Be informed through our quarterly newsletter, AAAA News, and our Legislative Alert bulletins covering developments in the field.
  • Solicit advice and information through our member-only listserv, webpage, and friendly, responsive headquarters staff in Washington, D.C.
  • Be represented as AAAA works with volunteer leadership to communicate AAAA positions on pending legislation and regulatory issues to Congress and governmental agencies. The AAAA Board of Directors, staff, and legislative committee monitor all congressional action that could affect equal opportunity, affirmative action, and diversity issues.
